Belgian DJ and producer Yves V has built a global reputation through years of festival dominance, chart-topping collaborations, and his long-standing presence at Tomorrowland.

We caught up with him to discuss his journey, his creative process, and what continues to inspire him.

We have viewers/readers in different countries. Could you introduce yourself for those who might not know you?

My name is Yves V! I’m a producer and DJ making house music across the spectrum, from club

anthems to pop-leaning tracks – its as simple as that!

You’ve been part of the electronic music scene for many years now. How did your journey as

a DJ and producer first begin in Belgium?

I was a teacher before I started producing but I always had a passion for music. Growing up in

Belgium, I was lucky to be surrounded by electronic music from a cultural standpoint, from trance to techno, so it was always a part of my life, but as I got to experimenting in music myself, and being a big fan of pop music and vocalists, I naturally gravitated towards house and specifically big-room in my early days. I began with a dream that grew and grew, and walking away from such a “responsible” career was a big risk for me, but I knew that this was something I wanted to pursue.

You are a long-time Tomorrowland resident and have played both the mainstage and your

own V Sessions takeovers. What does Tomorrowland represent for you personally and

professionally?

Tomorrowland represents unity first and foremost and especially as a Belgian artist, being a part of the event since its inception is something I am grateful for every day. Tomorrowland is such a special event not just for electronic and dance music, but for music as a creative outlet overall and with unity and the ability to embrace music as a force to bring people together and break down barriers, really is unlike any other event or brand on the planet.

You’ve collaborated with artists like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack and Blasterjaxx.

How have these collaborations influenced your evolution as a producer?

From both an artist and a consumer of music standpoint, I have always been a fan of

collaborations. Being able to work with an artist and explore new sides of your sound or

genre is so exciting, it gives you a completely new perspective weather that be via working

with a fellow producer, or a vocalist to bring another element to a track.

Your recently released tracks One of a Kind, You & I, and Here Comes That Sound. Can you

walk us through your creative process?

My creative process is very different for each release, I often work with an engineer to iron out

some ideas, especially with mastering but, simply, I often start with a melody at the core and take it from there!

As a DJ who plays festivals and clubs around the world, how important is crowd energy in

shaping your sets and productions?

I always take into account the location, party setting and of course, I always like to feed off the

crowds. Are they up for something more rowdy, or something more melodic? Sometimes playing at a festival where not everyone is there to see me headline, I like to add in some classic anthems and edits that will be recognizable to ease people into the music and allow audiences to just be free and connect that way, but crowd energy is always an important thing for any artist, I believe.

With over 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, how do you stay motivated and keep your

sound fresh after so many years in the industry?

Thank you to all my fans for their amazing support over the years, is all I can say! I’ve had lots of

development in my personal sound and musical style over the years, but its always rooted in

electronic music that is fun and true to what I love, and I’m so lucky in turn that my fans understand and keep enjoying the tracks! Motivation comes second nature as to be able to do this as my career is more than just a passion, its my everything professionally and I find inspiration and joy in the every day, weather that be on tour and finding inspiration in new countries, over to collaborating with amazing artists in the studio, its all a blessing!

As you look ahead, what can fans expect next from Yves V in 2026?

Lots of new music coming this Spring and beyond! I’ve been working on some new ideas and digging into some deeper and different pockets of inspiration, but I’m feeling a lot more club-focused this year, so I hope these next tracks get to sound track some special moments for you all, too!
